CAMP INFO

Students experience a variety of types of dance such as ballet, jazz, and improv, taught by Spectrum faculty.

 

Each day includes movement classes, crafts, outdoor activities, yoga, and reflection. 

Camp
 runs from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Campers need to bring a sack lunch, snacks, and water. 

Pre-requisite: entering the 1st grade ages 6-11.

JULY 8–12

BALLET LEVEL III AND UP
AGES 11-18

Ballet Boot Camp is an incredible opportunity for ballet levels III and up to experience a full week of ballet while deepening knowledge of ballet technique.

Camp faculty includes distinguished Ramona Cachinero and Pacific Northwest Ballet soloist Joshua Grant.

Each day begins with a technique class, followed by pointe, and finishes with a variations class.

Experience or owning pointe shoes is not a requirement.

This is camp is open to ages 11 to 18 years of age and runs 11:30 am to 4:30 pm each day.

JULY 29-AUG 9

BALLET LEVEL III AND UP

The Spectrum Summer Intensive class allows students to improve their ballet and engage in a variety of dance styles.

Students begin their day deepening their experience, knowledge, and technique in ballet class.

The remainder of the days are spend learning a variety of dance forms including West African, Contemporary, Balkan Folk Dance, and Pilates.

This intensive is open to dancers ages 11 to 18 years old and runs 11:30 am to 4:30 pm each day.

Drama/Dance Workshop
THE DRAGON PRINCE A Chinese Beauty And The Beast Tale
Taught by Bob Gribas and Spectrum faculty. Students will create and perform a production of this ancient Chinese version of a Beauty and the Beast story through the use of Acting, Dancing, Improvisation, Theatre Games and Mask Making. The workshop will end with a performance for family and friends. All experience levels are welcome.

Drama/Dance Sci-Fi Adventure
DINOSAURS IN OUTER SPACE
Taught by Bob Gribas and Spectrum faculty. Students will assist in writing and creating a
Sci-Fi Adventure production through the use of Acting, Dancing, script and lyric writing, Improvisation, Theatre Games and Mask Making. The camp will end with a performance for family and friends. All experience levels are welcome.

DONALD BYRD WORKSHOP

Pre-professional to Professional
Cost: $450/1 Week, $850/2 Weeks
If you are only taking one week, you must register for the first week.
