BALLET BOOTCAMP

JULY 6 – 10

  • This camp is open to students 11 to 18 years of age and runs 11:30 am – 4:00 pm each day.

Each day begins with a combined technique and variations class, followed by pre-pointe/conditioning, and finishes with a class on Dance Analysis.
  • This year, pointework is not encouraged due to a lack of proper flooring at home.
  • Camp faculty includes Ramona Cachinero, Josh Grant-Montoya, Mary Sigward, and Jaclyn Wheatley.

DONALD BYRD WORKSHOP

JULY 20 – 24

  • This workshop is for Pre-professional to Professional dancers and runs 11:15 am – 3:30 pm each day.
  • The workshop comprises a 1-hour technique class followed by 2.5-hours of process/repertory. Technique classes focus on Mr. Byrd’s movement aesthetics and emphasize a relaxed, strong, and flexible torso with highly articulated feet and legs, and increasing rhythmic and spatial exactness.
