Spectrum will offer a new 12 week after-school program at Garfield High School this year: West African dance with Spectrum teaching artist Afua Kouyate and accompanist Aboubakar Kouyate, and tap dance with Spectrum faculty member La’Twon Allen. We are thrilled to collaborate with Garfield to give teens an opportunity to dance and learn about the cultural significance of African and tap dance in America. Thank you to Seattle office of Arts & Culture for supporting this program. REACH Winter Session begins on Jan. 21, 2017 with Spectrum Company dancer Fausto Rivera. REACH applications can be found in our lobby or online – click here to register online.
