Post-Show discussions will be held after both performances.
This month, Spectrum jumps into the 14/15 Season Virtues and Virtuosity with the return of a fan favorite: LOVE. Rendered in abstraction but resonating with emotion, LOVE considers the complex landscapes of intimate relationships.
Danced to Benjamin Britten’s Three Cello Suites played live by world-renowned cellistWendy Sutter, LOVE is a spectacle performed on a multi-tiered white stage set in a large airplane hangar at Magnuson Park. This critically acclaimed masterwork made waves in 2012 when it was first created by Donald Byrd and we are thrilled to bring it back to Seattle audiences this year.
Don’t miss your chance to experience one of Donald Byrd’s most celebrated works!
