Pina is a 3D dance film directed by Wim Wenders. The film presents some of the most noted dance pieces by Pina Bausch, choreographer and innovator of the dance theater form, who died in 2009, before the film was made. Wenders is an acclaimed filmmaker whose classic Wings of Desire is a must-see for any student of film. His documentary Buena Vista Social Club, about Cuban musicians earned him an Academy nomination.
