2012-2013 Season: Byrd at 10

Spectrum Dance Theater’s 2012-2013 season, BYRD AT 10, celebrates the 10th anniversary of award-winning choreographer Donald Byrd’s tenure as artistic director. Spectrum will embark on two tours and present five programs for its 2012-2013 season. With performances at various venues in Seattle, a yearlong residency and performance in Olympia, WA, a six stop national tour of The Theater of Needless Talents, and an international tour of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, Spectrum’s reach will be not only local and regional but also global in the coming season.

“Since I came to Spectrum, I’ve been asked many times: ‘How will you change Seattle?’” said Byrd. “But only recently, I was asked for the first time: ‘How has Seattle changed you?’ I’m not quite sure but perhaps this season will provide an answer.”
