A Cruel New World/the new normal, Byrd’s take on the changes forced in the aftermath of September 11, 2001, was the first original work he choreographed for Spectrum Dance Theater as its new artistic director. First performed in a traditional theater in 2003, this revival will be in an industrial setting in the SoDo district. Music is by Graham Haynes. Additional music is by Richard Wagner.
